About

1st marketer at health startup

Hi! I’m Melinda.

Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, I have led growth and product marketing initiatives at Photon Health and Elix, seed-stage startups in the health technology and wellness space. Prior to these roles, I held 3 roles in Product Marketing at Microsoft in the Microsoft 365, Data & AI, and Digital Store teams.

Outside my day job, I pursue community-oriented projects related to my core passion: uplifting women and non-binary folks in their health and economic empowerment (Womanly, Powerful Voices, WAFFA, Let’s Sync). As the first-born daughter of Chinese immigrants, I have also pursued projects connected to my Asian identity, starting Bloom and running volunteer projects for API Chaya and Asian Arts Initiative.

During my time at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, I studied Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship, actively pursuing my interests in social impact, entrepreneurship, and technology with startup internships (Elix, Twentyeight Health, Endeavor, AptDeco) and work with non-profits (Percentage Project, CIFWI). You can learn more about my full journey on my LinkedIn.

I'm always learning about entrepreneurs’ journeys, consuming content on social issues (especially at the intersection of technology + gender + health), and discovering femtech companies. If you think we have something in common, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d love to chat.

Right now, I'm thinking about...
